Dear colleagues,

Queensland recorded one new local case of COVID-19 – the case is a student from St Thomas More College in Sunnybank which is linked to a known cluster in that area.

Update on Qld and NSW border bubble restrictions

Following NSW Health’s announcement that stay-at-home orders have been lifted for the City of Lismore and Brewarrina Shire Council local government areas (LGA), Queensland Health will reinstate the non-restricted border zone rules from 1am 23 September.

This will mean the City of Lismore and Brewarrina Shire Council residents and Queenslanders travelling to these areas will be able to cross the border for more reasons.

For a list of permitted reasons, visit the Queensland Health website.

Don’t forget to upload evidence of your COVID-19 vaccine.

Regards,

Metro North remains on Tier 1

Despite this ease of restrictions, Metro North will continue to remain on Tier 1 in our COVID response plan and moderate risk PPE, with fever clinic staff and emergency department triage staff wearing P2/N95 masks. We will be assessing this status over the next few weeks.

PPE guidelines are online for healthcare delivery and for residential aged care and disability accommodation.
