Message from the Metro North Health Incident Controller – COVID-19 update 395 | 21/04/2022
Dear colleagues,
- Tier 4 status update
- Close contact restrictions
- COVID-19 staff debrief survey
- Friday’s vidcast
There are 8,995 current reported COVID cases in Queensland today, with 577 COVID-19 patients currently under Metro North care.
Tier 4 status update
A decision was made this morning that Metro North will remain at tier four of our COVID response plan throughout the long-weekend. For directorates with planned care, this may result in some complexities. We will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis.
Across Metro North today, there are 642 furloughed staff who are unable to attend work due to COVID. We have supported 108 staff who were close contacts to return to work under the Critically Essential Worker requirements.
Close contact restrictions
Many of you will be aware of the changes to close contact restrictions in New South Wales and Victoria that are due to commence from tomorrow. Please note that these changes have not yet been passed in Queensland to ensure we are past the peak of the current COVID-19 wave. We will provide details of any changes happening in Queensland as we receive confirmation.
COVID-19 staff debrief survey
We are delighted to see that 160 staff have already filled out the COVID-19 staff debrief survey. We want to hear from you about your experience of how Metro North has responded to the pandemic over the past two years – what worked well, what didn’t work well and how we can improve in the future. The survey only takes four minutes and will be open for two weeks. Your feedback is vital!
Friday’s vidcast
Don’t forget out next vidcast will be this Friday at 10am, where you will hear from Metro North’s Chief Executive Jackie Hanson and Acting Executive Director Human Resources Peter Patmore. If you can’t join live, recordings of previous COVID vidcasts and Executive vidcasts are available online.
Regards,
Louise O’Riordan
