28 September 2021 – Updates 2 and 3

Dear colleagues,

Please see below a slight amendment to my message earlier today regarding visitors for our pregnant patients.

Visitors

Visitors are restricted across all Metro North Health facilities. Visitors can only visit if they are:

  • the parent, guardian or carer for a patient under the age of 18
  • visiting a patient who is at their end of life
  • a partner and/or support person for a patient for care related to their pregnancy
  • support worker or informal carer (including family and friends) providing support for someone with a disability.

The other information provided in the previous message regarding no students on campus and standing up concierge desks across our facilities remains in place – please note the only amendment is to the slight change in wording above.

While we wait for the Directions to be updated by the Department of Health, please refer to the COVID-19 updates website for the latest information about restrictions.

Please continue to practice good social distancing and hand hygiene, and get tested in you have any symptoms, and use the QR codes to check in as you move around.

28 September 2021 – Update 2

Dear colleagues,

Further to this morning’s message, I’d like to provide some more information about the restrictions.

Students

Students cannot enter Metro North Health facilities while they are declared a restricted hospital.

Concierge

Concierge services will be stood up across our facilities. Please be respectful of your colleagues providing this service to help keep us all safe.

Please continue to practice good social distancing and hand hygiene, and get tested in you have any symptoms, and use the QR codes to check in as you move around.
