Caring for each other
Co-design is a relational process that only works when team members look after and care for each other. Co-design is not easy, and for some people, it may even by re-traumatising if we don’t plan for safety and care from the start.
Your team can build the conditions to care for each other by:
- Assessing the fit of the team
- Establishing a support team
- Building relationships
- Offering genuine invitations
- Widening inclusion
- Connecting co-designers
- Seeking ongoing feedback
- Having courageous conversations
- Seeking ongoing relationships
- Caring for each other
- Developing frameworks for safety
