As we approach the end of the year it can be a challenging time for many people. As part of our wellbeing support for staff have a range of resources on the extranet including comprehensive information about financial wellbeing.

The resources include your short term options for financial stress such as how to access your super early and taking payment instead of long service leave which are covered in Queensland Health’s Cashing out of annual leave policy (HR Policy C74).

We also have a range of resources for staff to take care of your emotional, physical and social wellbeing, which can also be tested during the festive period. Metro North’s employee assistance service also offers 24/7 free confidential counselling if you need to talk to someone. You can call 1300 360 364. There is also a dedicated domestic and family violence support number, 1300 574 516.

This week I hosted a vidcast with QSuper about planning for retirement. If you are approaching retirement in the next decade and would like to make sure you’re in a good place to retire comfortably, watch the vidcast recording for tips on how your super provider can assist.

Regards,

Kristal
