    Metro North Core Values

In 2017, following the review of the Working for Queensland Survey results, Metro North established a set of five values that represent who we are as a health service organisation.

Our five values are the foundation of our culture. They guide us on how we interact with our employees, how we interact with our consumers, community and our partners to support a better workplace for our people and better outcomes for our patients.

As we grow, our processes and strategies may change, but these five core values will remain the same.

Making our values more than words

To make sure there is accountability behind these words, Values in Action was initiated. Values in Action is our way of working – delivering better experiences for those who use our services and creating great places to work for our staff. Our Values in Action Framework describes how we will:

    • embed our values in how we recruit, develop, recognise, and reward our staff.
    • promote behaviours that support our values and hold each other to account for our behaviours.
    • look after the wellbeing of our staff.
    • find ways to promote fun at work even during the most challenging times.

Metro North is proud to be a values-driven organisation.
