For me, Christmas is traditionally a time for joy and celebration. I saw so much of that today.
The depth of creativity and the genuine excitement around this year’s CKW Christmas Decorating Contest was evident as the judges and I made our way around the hospital.
After another difficult year, it was great to see everyone in true Christmas spirit for colleagues, patients and visitors to enjoy. There were lots of laughs, lots of smiles, lots of friendly competition and lots of fun!
May I also say a large thank you to Commonwealth Bank Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast Home Loan Executive Sean Aylett, who proudly sponsored the CKW Christmas Decorations competition this year. Thankyou Sean, we greatly appreciate your support of CKW.

Thank you also to Rotary Aspley, which raised funds via their annual Christmas wrapping service at Harvey Norman Aspley to purchase gifts for children at Caboolture Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital. Mick Dwayne from The Common Good (pictured below) presented a few trolley loads of Christmas gifts to NUM Michelle Hutch in the children’s ward this morning.
A big thank you also to staff at Coles Caboolture and Morayfield (below), who raised funds to buy toys also for the children’s ward. Here’s a photo from the official presentation last week. A great thank you to the Coles team.
Finally, thank you to CKW staff for your generosity and kindness contributing to the CKW Staff Council Christmas Appeal this year. We were able to help dozens of families across Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford have a better and brighter Christmas.
All the very best for Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Take care,
Angie.
