Dear Senior Medical Officer or Visiting Medical Officers,
Are you ready to Level Up?
Metro North Health is committing to improve gender equality in medical professions. We want every medical professional to have the support and opportunities to achieve greatness, regardless of their gender.
A new mentoring program, Doctors in Training Mentoring Program will launch in February 2023. We need experienced senior doctors like yourself to be a Mentor.
Come share your knowledge, ideas, and thoughts to support the next generation of Medical Specialists and Medical Leaders by becoming a Metro North Doctors in Training Mentor!
Mentoring also benefits the mentor with: improved ability to share personal experience and knowledge, fresh perspectives gained through challenging discussions with people less ingrained in organisation thinking, and provides opportunity to reflect upon and articulate your role, perspective and approach among others.
It is easy to become a mentor:
- Fill in this Be a Mentor form (estimated 4 min to fill out)
- A coordinator will match you with your Mentee
- Once agreed, meet with the Mentee about once a month for one hour over 6 months
Eligibility – All Metro North Health senior medical officers, both men and women are welcome.
More information is available in the Ground Rules document below or contact becca.murray@health.qld.gov.au with any questions.
Don’t delay, sign up today!
Regards,
Dr Liz Rushbrook
