We have completed recruitment for the Executive Director Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and I’m pleased to announce Louise Oriti has been successful in the role.
Louise has been Executive Director Redcliffe Hospital since 2016 and has led Redcliffe Directorate through its COVID response and significant infrastructure projects and associated business transformation. She brings over 12 years of experience in senior executive health leadership roles in Queensland and the Northern Territory, including General Manager of Royal Darwin Hospital and ED People and Culture in Townsville HHS.
Dedicated executive level experience in human resource management, combined with a health sector clinical and operations background, gives Louise a unique ability to understand both service and people drivers within the organisation. This includes leading the development of a workforce culture plan for Top End Health Service (NT) and the #IamRedcliffe values in action program at Redcliffe Hospital. She has a clinical background in nursing and midwifery.
I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for Gillian Nasato who has been Acting ED RBWH since January 2022. Her leadership has been characterised by the organisation’s commitment to people first and this has seen her navigate, together with the leadership team, the RBWH realignment, through the RBWH response to the pandemic, and progressing the health equity agenda with the launch of the RBWH Reconciliation Action Plan.
Gill will remain an integral member of the RBWH leadership team in her role as Deputy Executive Director.
Louise will commence her handover to the role with Gill on 22 February 2023.
I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing Louise every success and thanking Gill for her continued commitment to RBWH and Metro North.
Warm regards,
Jane
