On Thursday 23 February as part of the RBWH 14-day Staff Self-Care Challenge, RBWH staff dusted off their dancing shoes for the inaugural Boogie Wonderland Disco!
More than 50 staff members from across the hospital moonwalked their way to the RBWH Education Centre to dance their troubles away for the evening.
RBWH Consultant Anaesthetist Dr Rom Ranasinghe, who DJs in his spare time, kept vibes high with his mix of tunes from the seventies, eighties and now.
RBWH Staff Wellbeing Officer Liz Crowe said the disco also doubled as a great cardio workout.
“Staff laughed, sang and of course, danced!” said Liz.
“The time went so fast, with many staff asking when the next disco will be held.
“Dancing or doing something else active is great for your overall mood and wellbeing. I hope to see even more staff at the next disco.”
