Nurse Practitioner Week
Next week is nationally recognised as Nurse Practitioner Week, 11-17 December 2023. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work of our Metro North Nurse Practitioners. This dedicated group of healthcare professionals plays a vital role in improving access to care through the provision of advanced assessment, diagnosis and management for our patients and contribute significantly to the success of our organisation.
Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have authority to practice autonomously and collaboratively in an expanded clinical role and bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, compassion, and dedication to their roles. The ability to provide comprehensive and holistic care for their patients coupled with their commitment to promoting health and wellness, greatly impacts the well-being of our community. I encourage each of you to take a moment next week to get to know the Nurse Practitioners in your facility and celebrate their exceptional work, together let’s ensure that Nurse Practitioners feel the depth of our appreciation for their hard work and ongoing commitment to their patients, teams and services.Christine.
