Late last year I hosted an occupational violence forum with 100 staff from across Metro North to hear your feedback and ideas on what we can do to ensure all of our workplaces are safe. Thank you to everyone who participated. My office is working through the notes from the forum and putting together a draft action plan for feedback.QHEPS.
One thing we can do is make sure that when there is an occupational violence incident, we know how to respond and appropriately support our colleagues. The OV Incident Response Kit was developed by the Queensland Occupational Violence Strategy Unit (QOVSU), hosted by Metro North. Each site across Metro North has its own localised Incident Response Kit – you can access them via the desktop icon. QOVSU works with all HHSs across Queensland to implement strategies to reduce occupational violence. You can see an overview of initiatives onActing COO
