Yesterday, Jane Hancock, Acting CE, and I were fortunate enough to virtually award the recipients of the Metro North Nursing and Midwifery Awards. Thank you everyone who attended, either to receive an award or to celebrate with colleagues. It’s always a joy to celebrate amazing nurses and midwives at all stages of your careers across Metro North.

Congratulations also to all the winners of the directorate awards. I was delighted to attend some of the award ceremonies and to provide recipients with their certificates. Thank you so much for the invite. Remember that you all do amazing things for our patients/clients and their families.  Every one of you is in some ways a winner. We do work in the biggest, best, and nicest health service, where nurses and midwives are the heartbeat of health.
