The Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment (CHR) continues to take shape, with both the construction and Operational Commissioning activities tracking well.
The level one floor slab in the Clinical Services Building (CSB) has been poured and piling on the Multi-Storey Carpark (MSCP) is now complete. We should also see our third and final tower crane arrive on MSCP site in the coming weeks and construction on the new BEMS building get underway.
In the Operational Commissioning space, the CHR project team and hospital are partnering to deliver some of our most interesting activities – Service Readiness, Building Readiness and Relocation Readiness – to ensure we deliver a smooth and safe transition of new and existing services, staff and patients.
In the Service Readiness space, the team have been busy delivering the first round of Departmental Readiness Working Groups (DRWGs) which have focused on introducing and familiarising the hospital with the key deliverables and milestones of Operational Commissioning.
Models of Care, defining the way health services at Caboolture Hospital will be delivered and outline how patient care will be managed, organised and delivered within each service area, are also under development. These are due to be finalised by December 2021 and will be available on the new CHR Operational Commissioning QHEPS.
The CHR team is also busy developing a range of change management and internal communications materials to ensure staff are kept up to date and informed of the project’s progress. You should start to see materials on display in and around staff common areas and tea rooms.
Be sure to check out the new QHEPS site and take a short Virtual Reality Tour around the new Clinical Service Building. You can also read the new Operational Commissioning FAQs to learn more about this exciting phase of the CHR.
