Hi Team Royal,
RBWH is feeling more festive by the day, with Christmas decorations going up in work areas throughout the hospital and the end of the year in sight. I’m looking forward to being part of the judging team for the annual Christmas decorating competition and seeing how creative our staff are.
November has been a busy month as we continue our work on the RBWH26 Realignment Business case for significant change. I’d like to thank everyone for their contribution and patience as we navigate this process.
Earlier this month we were privileged to be the first hospital in Queensland to receive a visit from the 27th Governor of Queensland Dr Jeanette Young, as she commenced her new role. We also celebrated World Prematurity Day and the great work of our neonatology and special care nursery teams in caring for our tiniest patients. You can read all about how we celebrated in this edition of News at the Royal.
Read on to find out about RBWH’s achievements in the Australia and New Zealand Junior Doctor of the Year Awards, how VR technology is helping young cancer patients, the #MoveforLex campaign’s huge donation to our neurology ward, and much more.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
David Rosengren
