12 August 2021
Dear colleagues,
Queensland recorded 11 new cases today, with ten of those linked to the Indooroopilly cluster and one detected in hotel quarantine. All have been in quarantine during their infectious period.
Because some people have tested positive at their day 12 test, some families will remain in quarantine for another two weeks. Our thoughts are with those who will be staying home to keep other safe, especially any staff that are in this position. Thank you!
Border updates
- The Queensland border is now open to South Australia, but for flights only due to the risk of driving through NSW.
- Restrictions regarding Victoria will remain in place after news of the state’s extended lockdown period.
- Queenslanders living in or near the border with NSW are strongly encouraged to avoid any travel south of the border (excluding essential workers) due to the lockdown.
