Administration services at TPCH have a new direction with the recent appointment of six new Administration Managers who will provide improved support to clinical programs in the delivery of patient care.
The newly appointed Administration Managers are:
• Administration Manager Heart and Lung – Stacey Graham
• Administration Manager Surgery and Critical Care – Kerrie Wilson
• Administration Manager Medicine, Emergency and Children’s Services – Suzie Cannon
• Administration Quality and Data Manager – Kandy Davis-McGlone
• Administration Manager Outpatients – Cheryl Ross
• Administration Relief and Casual Coordinator – Debra Howard
The new roles are part of a revised structure of administration services which resulted from a hospital-wide Administration Review completed in 2019.
Phase one of the new administration structure, which was a recommendation of the Review, distinctly aligns with TPCH’s clinical programs areas, allowing for better coordination of administration services within the hospital.
The new Administration Managers are responsible for overseeing and managing staff within these key program areas, which includes providing day-to-day support and leadership to staff, training and education, and coordinating professional development opportunities.
Acting Facility Services Director Karen Leighton said the new leadership roles will help strengthen and
improve administration services at TPCH.
“Administration staff are an important part of the healthcare team at TPCH, and play an essential role in supporting the delivery of high quality patient care every day,” Karen said.
“The introduction of these positions will support a more effective structure that provides administration staff with greater accountability, role clarity, and professional development opportunities.
“It is an excellent step in ensuring our administration services are designed to support a positive healthcare experience for our patients, as well as a satisfying and meaningful work environment for staff.”
Accompanying the new direction for TPCH’s administration services is a new location for the Senior Administration team whose home is now the recently renovated demountable at the front of the hospital near the multi-story car park. The upgraded area will allow a dedicated space for administration-related meetings and training.
