RBWH Foundation is looking for highly motivated, flexible and committed volunteers for RBWH and the brand-new STARS specialist rehabilitation facility – the largest in the southern hemisphere.
University student Lavinia Arias began volunteering for RBWH Foundation in Year 11 and the decision ultimately changed the course of her life. Lavinia is now studying a Bachelor of Medical Imaging at QUT.
“Volunteering definitely influenced me because I love being in the hospital environment. It made me really want to be part of the health field and I’m loving it,” said Lavinia.
“There is such a diverse age group and it’s really rewarding. When you play bingo in the renal wards, you see how much patients enjoy and benefit from it – it’s really great.”
Lavinia is now applying for part-time medical imaging assistant positions and a reference from the RBWH Foundation is proudly included in her resume.
If you know a student studying health or a semi-retiree looking for the challenge of working in a dynamic environment, please urge them to register.
