Dear colleagues,
We are coming to the close of our third week of COVID vaccinations. Since last Thursday we have stood up five staff vaccination clinics across the health service in addition to the Phase 1a clinic at STARS. Well done to all the vaccination teams for your efforts in establishing and managing the clinics.
On Wednesday we hit the milestone of administering 1000 vaccinations a day across our sites, and yesterday we delivered 1215 vaccinations, which is a fantastic effort. As of close of business yesterday we have delivered 7024 COVID vaccines:
- STARS 4416
- RBWH 1623
- Redcliffe 253
- TPCH 401
- Caboolture 211
- Brighton 120
In another milestone, next week the first group of STARS vaccine recipients will start to get their second dose.
Thank you to everyone who has rolled up your sleeves so far. And thank you for your patience for those who are yet to receive the vaccine. At the current rate of supply, we anticipate that all staff will have the opportunity to receive the vaccine in the coming weeks.
This is a huge body of work and we will be in this space for the next six months as we work to deliver vaccines to the Metro North community, in partnership with primary care providers. Thank you all for your commitment.
Regards,
Jackie
