Staff Update
Last year, 45% of Redcliffe Hospital staff participated in the Have Your Say Staff Survey. The way that so many people engaged with the survey process said a lot about everyone’s willingness to help make Redcliffe Hospital a truly great place to work.
We shared our survey results with everyone at a Staff Forum back in September. After that, survey reports with detailed analysis were provided to managers and NUMs, showing how their teams were going. In November, our HR team rolled out training to support each area’s action plan on how they would lock in what was working well and do better where things needed to change. That work continues.
I can now share with everyone some more changes that will be made as a direct result of what you told us in the survey. Metro North Chief Executive Jackie Hanson has approved more than $165,000 worth of renovations, upgrades, and improvements to tea rooms and staff spaces in several wards and clinical areas. These projects will include:
- Operating Theatre tea room – better lighting, new shelving, new television, tables and chairs, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer.
- Operating Theatre change rooms – room upgrade and replacement of staff lockers
- Paediatrics – new tables and chairs
- 5 East / 5 West – new tea room chairs
- Pharmacy – replacing carpet and other improvements to staff spaces
We hope to have these projects completed by the middle of this year.
Thank you again to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. I look forward to talking more about how we continue to make Redcliffe Hospital a truly great place to work.
We listen to understand so we make the best decisions. #IamRedcliffe.
