RBWH’s new digital self-ordering meal website, MyMeals@RBWH, has officially launched. Led by the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, the website allows patients to use their own device to order from a range of delicious and nutritional meal options.
Patients simply need to visit the MyMeals@RBWH website, log in using their UR number and date of birth, and choose their meals.
RBWH patient Ashleigh Peters has been using the MyMeals@RBWH website on a daily basis during her eight-week inpatient stay in the maternity ward.
“I’ve loved being able to order the food I like and avoid the foods I don’t like via MyMeals@RBWH,” she said.
“It’s really easy to use and due to my specific health needs, I receive additional options to choose from to help me increase my protein intake. My favourite is the roast lamb.
“The best part is, if I change my mind about something I’ve ordered, I can just go back into the website and change my meal choice.”
If patients are unable to order a meal online, a suitable choice will be made for them by the Food Services team. As always, all clinical needs, dietary requirements and food allergies will be taken into consideration.
The Nutrition and Dietetics team are encouraging staff to spread the word about MyMeals@RBWH to patients. For more information and a range of helpful resources, please visit https://qheps.health.qld.gov.au/rbwh/allied-health/nut-diet/mealsrbwh
