Hello everyone! It’s great to be here in Metro North. In my previous roles as the COVID-19 Health System Response Lead and Health Service Chief Executive Central West Hospital and Health Service I was very aware of Metro North’s positive reputation and achievements and I am enjoying being part of the team.
It has certainly been a big first couple of weeks and I’m impressed at how everyone pulls together to get the job done especially when the demand and challenges are unrelenting. I look forward to getting around and visiting as many people as I can as soon as possible over the coming months. If there is anything, I can do to remove barriers/blockers or support safe and quality patient care, please feel free to reach out.
Recently we have undertaken a recruitment process for the Executive Director Community and Oral Health (COH). I am pleased to let you know that Glynis Schultz has been successful in the position.
Glynis has been the acting ED COH since January 2021. In her time with Metro North, Glynis has led COH through its significant contribution to Metro North’s COVID response, including operational oversight for hotel quarantine and vaccination. Please join me in congratulating Glynis on her appointment.
I will be holding a vidcast on Monday at 10am to provide an update on Metro North’s COVID Response. I would encourage you to attend and bring your questions.
Whether you are working or not this weekend can I encourage you to take time to practice some self-care – if you need some ideas then please access the Metro North staff wellbeing extranet.
Warm regards,
Jane
