We acknowledge how challenging it is to be working in the healthcare industry. Despite this, the enthusiasm and willingness of our staff to get in and get things done never ceases to amaze us.
Thanks to each and every one of you, our colleagues, for being there day after day, night after night, to care for those who need it most. We recognise the hard work and efforts undertaken to support the facility. Thank you.

RBWH Shadow Council EOI
The Shadow Council is currently recruiting members. We encourage all staff to consider applying. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of your colleagues and to help make important improvements to our hospital. Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Geoffrey Binge is a member of the Staff Council and has worked hard on RBWH’s very first RAP. The RAP is our road map to reconciliation with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and contains 100 deliverables for the hospital. Read the RAP. We encourage you to disseminate this through your networks and staff meeting and to get in touch with Geoffrey Binge for more information.
NAIDOC Week
A reminder that from 3-10 July is NAIDOC week. This is a week to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. RBWH will soon be releasing the details of a range of activities that will be happening throughout the week for you to get involved with.
Department visits
We have already visited a number of areas throughout RBWH and its satellite areas. The Staff and Shadow Council want to visit you! We would love to talk to you about who we are and find out how we can advocate for you. Send us an email to arrange a visit: RBWH-CC-Secretariat@health.qld.gov.au
