Life Beyond the Diagnosis – Samuel Walker
Sam Walker is a Peer Worker at the MNMH-TPCH Safe Space Service. He provides a non-judgemental environment for patients in distress—often they come straight from the Emergency Room. Samuel sits with them, discusses their concerns but, most importantly, he also demonstrates that recovery is possible.

How to use your two days ‘Health Heroes’ leave before it expires
Hopefully you recall that we all received two additional days of leave for full time and part time employees (pro-rata) to acknowledge the contribution we all made to Queensland’s COVID-19 response.
This special leave will expire on Friday 9 September (after two years). If you have these leave hours on your payslip, please arrange with your line manager to take these days off before they expire.
It can’t be carried over, can’t be cashed in and will disappear on Friday September 9 if not taken beforehand.
