There has been a clear difference in the focus of the directorate over the past month as the pressure of COVID-19 subsides and we re-focus our efforts.
In a recent executive message, I alluded to a story about Bob, one of our Community Based Rehabilitation Team’s (CBRT) success stories.
While the last few months have been a very difficult time it has also been a period of reflection and recovery for this stroke survivor.
Thanks to the great care of our CBRT team Bob is well and truly on the road to recovery and pursuing things he enjoys such as life in the garden and playing lawn bowls.
Across the directorate we are seeing some amazing things occurring including the rollout of Green Metro North initiatives and improved patient care and rapid access projects.
In addition, our Better Together initiative continues to gather momentum with some fabulous artwork being displayed at Oral Health facilities and the Brighton Rehabilitation Unit.
I hope you enjoy this edition of the COH Express.
Please keep an eye out as I tour the facilities and celebrate the winners of the 2022 Community and Oral Health Staff Excellence Awards over the coming months.
Take care and keep looking after one another.
