Metro North Health Incident Controller

20 July 2021

Dear colleagues,

Contact tracing locations

There are more contact tracing locations today after another local case of COVID-19. The person travelled from Melbourne and has been to locations in the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Airport late last week.

South Australia will be going into lockdown this evening and Victoria has extended its lockdown as well. Additional contact tracing locations have been added to the list.

Staff are encouraged to check the contact tracing list and get tested and follow any quarantine directions if you have been in any of the locations of concern.

South East Queensland restrictions

Restrictions are still in place in South East Queensland, including visitor restrictions to our facilities and mask wearing.

Students who are not fully vaccinated against COVID are not allowed to attend placements at the moment.

Metro North will remain at Tier 1 in our COVID response plan, including moderate risk PPE.

QR codes

Please remember to use the Check in Qld app whenever you are moving around your workplace. This includes scanning on arrival and any time you leave your usual workplace, such as going to lunch or a meeting in another building. You need to check in again when you return.

If there isn’t a QR code to scan a location you’re attending on your campus, you can escalate through your local EOC and one can be provided.

Kind regards,

Louise O’Riordan
