Metro North Health Incident Controller

25 August 2021

Dear colleagues,

No new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Queensland today!

The two cases identified yesterday, both truck drivers who were as being under investigation, have been reclassified as negative cases.

This morning the Premier announced that starting midday today, there will be a pause on arrivals from New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT into Queensland for two weeks, due to pressure on the hotel quarantine system.  If you or anyone you know needs more info, please keep an eye on the Travelling to Queensland website.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our teams who look after our guests in hotel quarantine. It really is a mammoth task and you continue to do a fantastic job!

Metro North remains on Tier 1

Metro North remains on Tier 1 in our COVID response plan and moderate risk PPE, with fever clinic staff and emergency department triage staff wearing P2/N95 masks.

PPE guidelines are online for healthcare delivery and for residential aged care and disability accommodation.

Please remember to keep wearing your masks and using the QR codes to check in.

Thank you everyone for playing your part!
