I write to you with my Incident Controller hat on for the weekend with some important information regarding new exposure sites and information for health workers.
Today Queensland Health has issued a number of new exposure sites following the positive COVID-19 result of a Queensland woman and her partner who resides in New South Wales. The couple have been infectious in the community since 14 July 2021 and have been in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Please check the exposure site list, below, and follow the public health directives. This means getting tested and isolating until you receive your result unless the venue is a low risk exposure site, in which you can return to work while you await your test result.
The exposure sites will continue to be updated as further contact tracing continues so I encourage you to please check back regularly and follow the public health directives in place. I have listed these below for you for your reference.
As the couple have been infectious in the community for more than a week, I must ask each of you to be vigilant even if you have not visited an exposure site. If you have any symptoms, no matter how minor, please get tested and continue to stay home if you are unwell.
