With just over 23,000 employees at Metro North who contribute to making our health service the biggest, best and nicest in the country, it’s important to take time to recognise the significant achievements.

Metro North Staff Excellence Awards is a signature event on our calendar each year. These awards recognise staff excellence and achievements either individually, in teams, or through partnerships across facilities, services and streams, or with community partners. The awards focus on rewarding and recognising staff who make a significant contribution to the organisation and who demonstrate our values of respect, teamwork, compassion, integrity and high performance.

The categories for the 2022 Staff Excellence Awards are:

• People Focus
• Innovation
• Excellence in Performance
• Leadership
• Values in Action
• Excellence in Integrated Care
• Excellence in Training and Education

In recognition of our strong commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres and Strait Islander peoples, this year we will be introducing a new category to acknowledge and recognise staff who are progressing initiatives to close the gap. We will be announcing this category shortly.

Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm Friday 16 September 2022.

We encourage you to take the time to nominate yourself, a team, initiative or a colleague for these awards. We want to ensure we recognise our achievements and we sincerely look forward to hearing more about the inspiring work being delivered by our hardworking people when finalists are announced in October and winners are announced at Awards Gala Dinner.

Join us to celebrate the amazing staff achievements at the Metro North Staff Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Friday 9 December at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

For only $70 incl GST per person, your ticket will include pre-dinner canapes, two course meal, drinks package, entertainment and a beautiful night celebrating with your colleagues. Tickets will be on sale early October for individuals and tables of eight.
