Dear colleagues,

I have found throughout my career that emotional and physical wellbeing go hand-in-hand and we can better support our patients, colleagues and those we love when we are well and have a good balanced life. At Metro North we want to support you to be able to look after your entire wellbeing by making accessing gyms and facilities easy, convenient and affordable for you. Cue Fitness Passport.

We’re currently in the middle of our sign-up phase for our very own Metro North Fitness Passport. I personally have signed up and am looking forward to the passport activating in the coming weeks! Those who know me know I enjoy activities such as kayaking and mountain biking. It will be nice to add the gym to my list of physical outlets.

There are significant advantages to signing up to the passport other than just the cost – the entire family can get involved, the passport includes pool facilities for the avid swimmers, and you’ll never be limited to just one facility.

For those who have already signed up, thanks for your patience and we are working to ensure the passport will be up and running within the first few weeks of July. For those who haven’t, sign up before June 30 and you will go into the draw to win a Fitbit to help you on your journey to a healthy, active lifestyle. All information regarding price, facilities, sign up and FAQs can be found online. You can also reach out to the team at FitnessPassportMetroNorth@health.qld.gov.au with any questions you might have.

Remember the wellbeing office is here for you and our support programs are in place to help you and your team. Reach out via the Talk2Us portal for values support or any staff wellbeing support.

Regards,

Mark
