Message from the Chief Allied Health Practitioner: Mark Butterworth

2021-10-15T14:29:05+10:0015 October 2021|Chief Allied Health Practitioner|

Dear colleagues,

Yesterday was Allied Health Professional’s Day which is celebrated annually on the 14th October. It is a relatively new international event that was started in 2018 by two clinicians in the UK to celebrate who allied health professionals are, what they do and why they are valuable.

It is a social movement to recognise the contribution of Allied Health Professionals to patient care and population health, and a chance to get to recognise the 45 professions and roles that comprise Allied Health. It’s an opportunity to celebrate their skills and achievements with the community and colleagues.

I would like to thank all Allied Health Practitioners and all those who work with us for supporting excellence in clinical care and improving health outcomes for our care participants.

Regards,

Mark
