Clinical Assistant Leadership Award 2024

I would like to congratulate the seven clinical assistants who received a Metro North Clinical Assistant Leadership Award this year:

  • Allison Hearsum (COH)
  • Anthea Smith (TPCH)
  • Helen Sugars (RBWH)
  • Jen Myers (Redcliffe)
  • Katie Slater (Mental Health)
  • Margaret Higgins (Caboolture/Kilcoy)
  • Sandee Remiens (STARS)

This annual award aims to recognise clinical assistants that make a significant contribution to the workplace and demonstrate a strong commitment to Metro North values. We received 29 nominations this year, and it was a pleasure to read of the great work being done by our clinical assistants. Our clinical assistants are highly valued members of the multidisciplinary team and work under the supervision and delegation of health professionals. There are approximately 360 clinical assistants employed within Metro North Health, working with a range of allied health professionals and other health practitioners to support allied health care.

Mark.
