Adj Prof Jackie Hanson, Chief Executive

As you were aware we were targeting go-live of the IWFM electronic rostering solution for our nursing and midwifery cohort at our health service on Monday 13 November, following approval that was received by the relevant governance committees.

Following further consideration, the A/Director-General in consultation with a number of Health Service Chief Executives (HSCEs) made a decision to pause the IWFM electronic rostering solution go-lives scheduled for this calendar year. This decision was made in consideration of operational staffing in Hospital and Health Services (HHS). A pause assists HHSs managing these pressures and ensures no risks are introduced at the front line that may impact pay accuracy throughout the holiday period.

This decision is no reflection on the incredible work that has been undertaken by both the HHS staff and the IWFM Program team in preparing and successfully achieving readiness for go live.

The Program team has now commenced replanning a suitable go live timeframe after the holiday period. More detailed communications are being prepared for impacted IWFM stakeholder groups to advise the necessary actions required to be undertaken to ensure Payroll Transactional Services can undertaken business as usual processing of roster and pays.

The Department and the Hospital and Health Services remains committed to the IWFM Program as an important strategic initiative and look forward to continuing to work with you on completing the Stage 3 rollout in the new year.

Regards,

Jackie and Kristal.
