I wanted to provide a quick update on our Ethical Standards Unit.

For the past 18 months Mat Harris has been the Acting Director of the Metro North Ethical Standards Unit. Mat has let me know he would now like to return to his substantive role within the unit.

I am very appreciative of Mat’s efforts while acting in the role and thank him for his commitment and leadership in what is an important but challenging role.

Metro North Manager of Workplace Relations Jodie Lea Waller will step in as Acting Director ESU. Jodie has held a similar position previously at the City of Gold Coast Council and has significant experience in conducting complex investigations and reviews into public interest disclosures, sexual harassment, bullying, misconduct, corruption, and integrity matters.
