Dear colleagues,

This week we have continued to see the numbers grow in the Indooroopilly COVID cluster. Fortunately, the new cases this week were already in quarantine, so community transmission hasn’t continued. I know many of our staff have been affected by the home quarantine requirements and this had been challenging for your families and also for us as a health service. We look forward to seeing you all back at work soon. Please reach out to your colleagues and friends if you need support.

The results from our staff Have your say survey have been compiled and the executive team met this morning to discuss how they will be distributed over the coming weeks. I have also been reading through the message in a bottle submissions. Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey this year. It gives us a strong idea of how things are travelling, and your thoughts about how we can improve.

While some of our Metro North fun events have been postponed due to lockdowns and restrictions, we continue to plan for upcoming events. Next up is our Hospital of Origin on Saturday 18 September. The event has a new format this year, with teams competing in an ‘Amazing Race’ style series of challenges around the Herston Health Precinct. Register your team now.

I will be resuming regular visits to facilities over the next few months. Next Monday I’ll be at Brighton Health Campus and would love to chat with staff under the blue sails between 9.30 and 10am.

Have a good weekend.

Regards,

Jackie
