Dear colleagues,

Some quick updates on our executive team.

I’d like to thank Simon Bugden for acting as Executive Director Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford for the past few weeks while Angie Dobbrick has been on a well-deserved family holiday. Angie returns this Thursday.

In sad news for Metro North, Colleen Jen, our Executive Director Health Service Strategy and Planning, has accepted a role in the private sector.

Colleen has worked for Queensland Health for 38 years, starting as a nurse before moving into strategy and planning. As a quiet achiever, many staff wouldn’t be aware of Colleen’s immense contribution to Metro North which includes overseeing the strategic planning for major infrastructure developments, innovation activities, and clinical services. Under Colleen’s leadership, the strategy and planning team’s early work in the pandemic was integral to Metro North’s successful response to date.

Colleen’s last day with Metro North will be next Friday 24 September. Please join me in thanking Colleen and wishing her success in her new role.
