Adj. Prof. Alanna Geary, Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer

Following today’s announcement that Queensland is moving to GREEN (baseline) in the COVID-19 traffic light system, Metro North’s Acute Respiratory Plan has been stood down to Tier 0 (BAU).

The Metro North Acute Respiratory Plan and directorate response plans are available on the extranet. We also have other useful links and seasonal surveillance dashboards on the ARI extranet page.

Please use PPE according to standard transmission-based precautions as per clinical need. Directorates may consider additional precautions in some areas based on local risk assessment. Masks will still be available for those who wish to continue wearing them.

Whilst masks are not required on public transport or indoors, staff should consider whether you choose to wear a mask in areas where you can’t physically distance. We need to continue with our hand hygiene and stay home when sick to look after ourselves and others.

Regards,

Alanna
