RBWH Alumni Dinner 2023 invitation

RBWH Alumni Association is hosting a gala event at the Kedron Wavell Services Club

Happy Friday Colleagues!

What a busy few weeks we have had. Firstly, I would like to thank you all so very much for your commitment and hard work within your respective facilities and directorates. Winter is well and truly upon us! Please ensure that you look after yourselves first and foremost as a healthy workforce is the only way we are going to be able to care for and deliver services to the patients and their families who require it. Remember to stay home if you are unwell, ensure your vaccinations are up to date, in particular COVID-19 and influenza, and follow the Acute Respiratory Illness processes when caring for patients with respiratory symptoms.

On 14 June we will have our Nursing and Midwifery Awards Ceremony, celebrating those nurses and midwives who have gone above and beyond in the provision of excellence in the care of the patients who attend our services. Jackie Hanson, Chief Executive, and I will be announcing the winners via a virtual ceremony. If you or one of your team members has been nominated, or even if you would like to join in the celebrations of colleagues, please tune into the ceremony (link will be shared next week). This is one of the highlights of my year and I am always so proud of those who achieve these prestigious awards. I was so impressed with the calibre of nominations this year. What a wonderful health service we work in. Not only is it fantastic to hear about the amazing contributions of our staff, it is even more impressive that colleagues take the time to nominate individuals whom they aspire to be like. Thank you so very much for selecting your peers as recipients and I look forward to announcing the winners in the coming weeks.

On 29 July the RBWH Alumni Association is hosting a gala event at the Kedron Wavell Services Club. All past and present RBWH and Metro North employees and their partners are invited, and we hope as many of you as possible can attend. It is an opportunity to party and enjoy each other’s company. There will be dinner, Associate Professor Anthony Holley is our guest speaker, and there will be dancing and fun! I personally cannot wait to have a good time and enjoy the company of colleagues. I have included the invitation below. Registration and payment for the event is included in the invitation and it is through Eventbrite. I do hope you can join us.

Alanna.
