Dear colleagues,

Today is Debbie McNamara’s last day as Executive Director of the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS). Debbie has been with Metro North since 2017 when she came on board as Development Director of the Herston Quarter Redevelopment Project.

A major component of the redevelopment was the delivery of STARS, which commenced operations in February with Debbie at the helm as ED. Deb’s commitment to Herston Quarter and STARS has been immense and greatly appreciated.

Please join me in thanking Debbie for her significant work with Metro North and wishing her well in her new executive role with Economic Development Queensland.

Following an EOI process, Helen Boocock has been temporarily appointed to the role of ED STARS for three months while recruitment is underway. Helen joins us from Brisbane North PHN and brings extensive leadership experience to the team.
