Ms Kristal Lowe, Chief People and Culture Officer

With Christmas rapidly approaching, I just wanted to update you on the last pay period of 2022 and first of 2023.

With Christmas falling on a Sunday, there will be no impact to pay days over this period. The last pay of the year will be Wednesday 21 December. The first pay of 2023 will be Wednesday 4 January.

Please submit your end of year leave in myHR as early as possible to allow processing time.

Despite the public holiday, Monday 26 December is the form submission cut off for the first pay of the year. Managers, please approve all forms in myHR by the 5pm Monday cut off to ensure inclusion in the relevant pay.

There will be no ad hoc payment processing on Monday 26 December, Tuesday 27 December or Monday 2 January due to the public holidays.

Roster changes should be submitted by 10am daily. Roster changes relating to Friday, Saturday and Sunday must be submitted by 5pm on the Monday.

Payroll forms including new starters, rehires, AVACs, DSVFs, leave and employee movement requests should be actioned in myHR every day.

As a general rule, forms should be submitted:

  • new starters and employee rehires—as soon as possible and before the pay period forms cut off.
  • planned leave as soon as possible—with line manager pre-approval if required.
  • unplanned leave immediately upon return to work—or sooner via the myHR mobile app (via the internet and/or QH devices). Line managers may also submit requests on your behalf to ensure timely submission of forms.

For further information, please visit the Home | Payroll assistance (health.qld.gov.au).

Kind regards,

Kristal
