Ms Kristal Lowe, Chief People and Culture Officer

I’d like to provide you with an update on the status of Queensland Health’s enterprise bargaining agreements.

Metro North has supported our staff to engage in protected industrial action while the various agreements were being drafted and the associated ballots finalised. We have now received advice from all our industrial partners (including the AWU) that all industrial action should cease immediately and consequently we expect all staff to return to their normal duties.

Health Practitioners and Dental Officers (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement (No. 4) 2022 (HPDO4)

The ballot was successful and 96.8% of employees who participated voted in favour of the proposed agreement. Queensland Health will now apply to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission for certification. Visit QHEPS for more information.

Queensland Public Health Sector Certified Agreement (No. 11) 2022 (EB11)

The ballot was successful and 97.9% of employees who participated voted in favour of the proposed agreement. Queensland Health will now apply to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission for certification. Visit QHEPS for more information.

Medical Officers’ (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement (No 6) 2022 (MOCA6)

Voting is open until Sunday 7 May. An email from GoVote with a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) and detailed instructions for the different voting options has been sent to employees covered by MOCA6. Visit QHEPS for more information.

Queensland Health Building, Engineering & Maintenance Services Certified Agreement (No.8) 2022 (BEMS8)

Formal consultation is open until Sunday 14 May. Local information sessions will be held over the next two weeks covering the details proposed in the new agreement. Visit QHEPS for more information.

The finalised agreements will proceed through a formal ratification process via the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission before any changes are reflected in your pay.

Kristal.
