Metro North Research is committed to developing integrated research career pathways that will allow us to retain, train and attract a world class research active workforce. As part of this commitment, we are looking to implement programs that will support and embed the Queensland Training for Research Active Clinicians (QTRAC) Pathway within Metro North.

With this in mind, we are launching a Pre-Research Higher Degree (RHD) Scholarships scheme on Monday, 14 August 2023 that will enable clinicians to further develop their research plan, methodology and supervision plans, with the goal of achieving enrolment in a Research Higher Degree (PhD or MPhil) by 31 December 2024.

Scholarship funding will be awarded to Metro North clinicians to undertake research planning activities as work toward a Research Higher Degree (RHD). Funds will be awarded to support protected time and will be provided as a journal transfer for backfill of clinical duties.
