I’m really pleased to give you some exciting news about real time medication safety data.

Recently a Metro North Medication Safety (Clinical Pharmacy) Dashboard has gone live, which assists monitoring and reporting of key actions required under the National Safety & Quality Medication Safety Standard. This includes medication history documentation, medication review, provision of a discharge medication list and medicines information within a completed transfer of care summary.

The dashboard provides ward to board level reporting ability and brings together information from multiple sources, including coded data, ieMR data, data from eLMS and the Enterprise Discharge Summary (EDS).

The dashboard was developed collaboratively between Metro North Clinical Governance, the Digital Medicines Committee Data Analytics Working Group and Digital Metro North Analytics Team. Users can request access via the Dashboard Request Form and a video providing an overview for users is available on the Data Insights Hub.
