I use the word team today, because we really are working as a team, moving resources around, offering to help each other. Thanks for working together to achieve our shared goal of slowing COVID, protecting our community & looking out for our teams.
There were 2222 cases today, but we know the numbers in the community are higher. The growth rate is accelerating, so we will make some quick smooth gear changes. We are changing gear from stopping COVID … to slowing COVID. We are no longer trying to diagnose every case, we are working to protect the most vulnerable + protect our workforce.
Today’s main updates:
- Your biggest protection is wearing N95 masks & eyewear.
- Your biggest risk is your tearoom … please eat outside if able to, socially distance, sign in/out of tearooms, notice the temporary tearoom air scrubbers, the Chapel & adjacent gardens are now set-up for staff eating/relaxing.
- Low risk patient surveillance testing will stop today.
- Please encourage & gently coach patients to wear masks all the time they are able to.
- Kilcoy has been working overtime, more resources & back-up is on their way.
- Outpatients is becoming virtual for all possible patients.
- If you want to know more COVID details or check which gear we are in for specific COVID topics, please see the daily IMT update below the signature block.
- Please print this out for groups who don’t have or read their emails (like most non-managers 😉)
Stay calm, Slow COVID, eat/drink in a safe place,
Simon
