Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Clinical Directorate

Have you been fit tested? Our urgency for fit testing is very real and it is essential that all clinical staff are fit tested before the omicron peak, which is expected in 2 weeks.

Please call 2422 to book a fit testing appointment ASAP and provide your Line Manager with the details so they can support you to attend.

  • Queensland Health released the new Hospital Entry Direction (No. 9) which took effect from 11:00am today (20/01). Tighter visitor restrictions are now in place for public and private hospitals across Queensland. Please familiarise yourself with the new restrictions and how the changes impact visitor access to your department- this is particularly important for Maternity and Birthing Services and Paediatrics.
  • As per yesterday’s Incident Controller message, changes to international arrivals will take effect from 1am Saturday 22 January. Please refer to the IC message for specific details.
  • The Caboolture Hospital Fever Clinic will remain open on the January public holiday (26/01). MN will provide advice on any changes for staff tomorrow (21/01).
  • Thank you to the MOPS team for successfully transferring an additional 2 patients to the Caboolture Private Hospital yesterday. Planning is underway for 2 new patients to transfer today.
  • Staff shortages remain a major issue for MN and the need for medical staff to be redeployed remains high. Any staff member who can be redeployed should be flagged with the workforce coordinators of each discipline ASAP so that we can support MN’s virtual ward service.
  • Our preparedness and response to the pandemic is working really well. We got this!

Stay calm, slow COVID, and start planning for the weekend…
