Farewell Rose Cooper
Today, we say a heartfelt farewell to our ICU Nurse Unit Manager, Rose Cooper. Rose is retiring after an impressive 33 year nursing career. She has dedicated 30 of those years to Caboolture Hospital and has played an incredibly important role in ensuring we provide the highest quality care to our most severely ill inpatients.
We are extremely fortunate to have had Rose as part of our Senior Nursing Leadership Team for so many years. Rose has always adopted a patient-centred care approach and prioritised the wellbeing of her staff.
Her colleagues have described her as “patient focused”, “supportive”, “always has your back” and “has a great sense of humour and fun”.
Thank you for your years of incredible patient care and dedication to our Directorate, Rose. We wish you the very best for your retirement, you will be missed!
Teamwork makes the dreamwork
In case you missed it, Ward 4A and specifically, RN Michelle Daniels, received a wonderful compliment during yesterday’s MN Vidcast.
I would like to give a shout out to the Nursing Team on ward 4A at Caboolture Hospital, especially to RN nurse Michelle. I visited my family member there and after the long shifts they have been doing, Michelle was still so caring and polite to everyone around her, even her teammates, nothing was ever a bother. Especially through these tough times and the bad wrap that Caboolture has received lately. They were fantastic. Thanks Michelle and team on Ward 4A.
I was so proud to see our staff get acknowledged and recognised for showing compassion and care and for treating our patients and their families with dignity and respect.
Teamwork plays a huge role in our success, and it’s the dedication and effort of every team member that contributes to a positive patient experience.
Thank you 4A and Michelle!
A final thought
You all play an important role in caring for our patients, their families and carers. I want you to know it is greatly appreciated at all levels of our organisation and by the community.
Thank you for the incredible contribution you make to healthcare in Queensland.
Please stay safe everyone!
Take care,
Angie Dobbrick
