Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Clinical Directorate

Thank you to all teams and staff that are volunteering to be redeployed and to those staff that are working extra hours. I want to acknowledge that we are experiencing pressure across our directorate in our staffing, particularly at Caboolture Hospital. As always, our number one priority is to provide a safe work environment for our staff and for safe patient care. Please be assured that we are putting plans and processes in place to mitigate these shortages and we are doing everything we can to reduce the need for staff to work overtime.

  • PPE compliance audits will continue to assess donning and doffing procedures and ensure staff are safely complying with PPE requirements.
  • Ensure key information on Metro North’s COVID-19 Tier response is being shared with our new staff, particularly during orientation programs.
  • A range of Staff Wellbeing supports are in place for CKW staff, including new break out zones, trial rest areas and complimentary meals for staff working an additional shifts. Please read the fact sheet for more information.
  • Patient flow has never been more important. Please ensure safe discharge planning is undertaken in a timely way and that we are delivering the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
  • Fit testing continues to be a major focus and priority for all MN staff. Call the CKW fit testing service on 5316 2422 to make an appointment.
  • MN has released COVID-19 FAQs for Line Managers and staff. Please review to ensure you are up to date with the most current advice and information around COVID-19 positive staff and staff who are close contacts.
  • Our preparedness and response to the pandemic is working really well. We got this!

Stay calm, slow COVID, and start planning to ensure we have adequate workforce over the next 10 days.

Today’s important updates and key information.

Please remember to print and display this information in areas where staff cannot easily access email.
