Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Clinical Directorate

As we swelter through another day of this heatwave, I hope everyone is staying hydrated and keeping cool. My thoughts are with all of our staff wearing full PPE, working in our fever clinics or working outdoors in some other capacity. The heat will hopefully ease this afternoon and bring with it storms, so please be prepared and stay safe.

  • We remain focused on improving our discharge planning. Where safe and appropriate, patient referrals should be made to our HITH program or other alternative models. We need to reduce the pressure by creating capacity over the next three days. Let’s go into the weekend with bed capacity.
  • Ensure our patient transfer agreement with both Caboolture Private Hospital and St Vincent’s is fully utilised.
  • Please read, print and distribute the attached information on the Management of Air Purifiers in Healthcare Settings.
  • Shout out to the Allied Health teams and all other staff that have been redeployed to assist with our ongoing staffing challenges.
  • Fit testing remains a priority for all MN staff. Call 5316 2422 to make an appointment.
  • Our preparedness and response to the pandemic is working really well. We got this!

Stay calm, slow COVID and let’s focus on discharge planning, quality patient care and staying hydrated.

Today’s important updates and key information.

Please remember to print and display this information in areas where staff cannot easily access email.

Take care,

Angie Dobbrick
