Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Clinical Directorate

As we approach the end of the week, I want to say an enormous thank you. I have seen incredible examples of leadership, problem solving and camaraderie this year, and I am always humbled to work with such a dedicated team. As many of you know, Queensland schools return next week, which marks the very first day of prep for my daughter. Needless to say, there is a lot of excitement in our house at the moment. I’ll be taking the next 2 weeks off to do school drop-offs and pick-ups and will handover to Simon Bugden to act as CKW Executive Director while I am on leave.

  • With the number of COVID cases across MNH on the decline and our current bed pressures, CKW will prepare to transfer a small number of our COVID positive patients to the RBWH COVID ward tomorrow. This work will be led and coordinated by the CKW EOC.
  • Let’s ensure we are proactively planning for the weekend, including safe and effective discharge planning today and over the weekend.
  • Fit testing remains a priority for all MN staff. Appointments are available this Sunday (06/02). Call 5316 2422 to make an appointment.
  • Please review and familiarise yourselves with the attached Return to Work processes for COVID positive or close contact staff.
  • All MN staff are strongly encouraged to get their COVID-19 booster vaccination as soon as eligible. A reminder that it is now available three months after you have received your second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • All staff are reminded to upload their booster vaccination status to TMS.
  • Our preparedness and response to the pandemic is working really well. We got this!

Stay calm, slow COVID and celebrate the small achievements every day.
