The review into the care of baby Weston has now been released publicly.

The review was conducted by senior medical officers external to Metro North Health and will be available on our website later today.

I would like to thank the staff for your patience and engagement throughout the process.

While the focus of the review was on what can be improved, it also had positive things to say about the care provided by our dedicated, passionate and committed clinicians and Indigenous Health Liaison team members.

Caboolture Hospital has a proud history of caring for our community for almost 30 years. We provide quality health care services to a rapidly growing community and want everyone to feel safe, to ask questions, provide feedback and be involved in every stage of their health care journey.

Patient feedback is essential for service improvement. We remain committed to continual improvement of our services.

A broader review of paediatric care at Caboolture Hospital is also underway. The Terms of Reference are available on our website. This broader review of our paediatric models of care will make recommendations to ensure we can best serve our rapidly growing community.
